Hi Ricalynn,

Thank you for letting us know that the mature plants/trees will still grow and become harvestable, like in the older games. I was worried they wouldn't. That would of been very disapointing for the Banana trees in the lot.

Will the banana plants show up in a game that doesn't have Showtime?

No, they will not.  When you go to place the lot down, the game will most likely replace the banana trees with something else.

Hey guys.

Posted an updated file to lock the fence gate to animals to prevent the plants from being eaten. Also added some things for the kiddies to play with.

I hope you enjoy the changes. :)

Really fine garden!  Yes, buydebug has all the plants, but NONE of them are perfect so using the buydebug to grow a garden isn't that much of a time saver.  What I've noticed is the plants from there take a bit longer to grow into perfect plants, where as the seeds or fruits/veggies bought at the grocery store are a wee bit faster.  That said, money trees are the one item I would buydebug, oh and omni plants.  Money tree seeds are really hard to get!  Job well done, there Mrs. FLynn!

Thank you, Joria!! :)

It's still one of my favorite gardens that I've created. I'm semi-working on a new garden. But am in waiting for the new expansion packs to see if they going to have new harvestables. If I find they are I want to put them in my new community garden. Oooh Thank you for the tips also. :)

Not sure why I didn't see this garden.  It is wonderful and I can't wait to get home and download it.  Nicely done. :)

Really love this, thanks for creating and sharing it! I love gardening but there are times I just don't want to hunt around for seeds so this will be perfect to plop down into some of my neighborhoods.

Yep, I'm happy that you like it!! That's one of the reasons I made it. So I wouldn't have to go searching for seeds or whatever plants for my gardening and/or cooking Sims.  I have it in all of my neighborhoods, that way none of my Sims have to go without.

Just a reminder for those who have recently downloaded the garden, the banana trees are there, they just need to mature.  I finally got mine to do that in one of my games. It just took a few sim days to do so.

For those who are wondering if you don't have an expansion pack will the harvestables from that pack show up. The answer is no they won't and won't be filled in by anything either.

So if you don't have which ever expansion pack, but still want to have a peek-see at the garden in your game, go ahead.  Just know that they'll be harvestables missing.

I've updated Calm Garden with new harvestables from Supernatural. Look at the second file = 3x3C-CalmGarden-Sept2012-B3.Sims3Pack If you want to download the updated version.  Bookmark this thread if you want to know when this file has been updated. :)

I've also placed a fence around the trees and half walled reading area where the fence and gate used to be. So you only have one gate entrance. What I have sadly learned is that no matter if you lock the gate when your working on the lot. Once you turn it into a community lot and place it in your town the gate is no longer locked. Therefore pets/wildlife and zombies can come in and eat whatever harvestables. :( And completely eat the money trees.

Harvestables that the zombies eat will come back, however, money trees won't. *Sigh* So if you find that happens, you might want to replace the lot. I've had to do that a couple times so far.

Hope you enjoy the garden, :)

Hi,
What I've done with my small Perfect Plant gardens, is place a fence all around, then where the gate would normally go, I put a full wall in, decorate with posters, lights and/or Paintings, and then place a people door.

No Deer or Horses can go into garden but Sims can.  I don't allow Pets (I delete them) and detest the Zombies and won't play  them.   So, I  don't know how you would keep Zombies away from the plants.

Thanks for the tip, Holly!! :)  I don't think there's much you can do to keep Zombies away from the garden.
