Is buying a horse for a homeless Sim worth it?
« on: November 08, 2012, 06:32:58 PM »
I have a homeless Sim and I was thinking about buying a horse to help her and her family with money. I was just wondering if there are any drawbacks to having a horse and a poor Sim.
We are of peace, always but this is war.
We are of peace, always.
We'll help build a resistance. We have to fight.

When all you've ever loved has been stolen from you, sometimes all you have left is revenge.
For the truly wronged, satisfaction can be found in one of two places,  absolute forgiveness or mortal vindication. This is not a story about forgiveness. When deception cuts this deep, someone has to pay.

The equestrian centers have food/water stations to feed a horse, so you can care for it.  But unless you have a park or your sims lot with racing/jumping training items, it may be hard for your horse to gain skill to be competitive in high end races.

Though if your sim is up for lots and lots of long runs back and forth across the town, you can get a horse's racing skill up that way.

Another way to get money with a horse is to have a mare and breed her.  Once you've trained the baby, you can get several thouand dollars for it.
We hobbits are plain, quiet creatures. Adventures make one late for dinner.

If you are playing a Appaloosa Plains then there is a training center already there to train your horse not to mention most community lots have food and water for horses! But instead of buying a horse just adopt one they are free then!
