My sims disappear and won't do anything

My two sims keep disappearing. I have the game saved about 4 in game hours before it happens and every time I load my game they disappear no matter what action I do. I have tried resetsim and and I have tried resetsim* . Neither seem to work. I can instigate an action and one of the sims will appear but do nothing. I don't want to restart because my sim has all his skills but photography maxed out as well as all plants but omni and money tree perfect. Is there anything that I can do?

Aaarrgh...assuming this is a game just for fun (an attempt at fun anyway), try using Edit Town to move them out and back in again - it helped me in a casual game when a teen was caught after curfew by a cop and disappeared from my household, and I've noticed it's helped others with issues similar to yours. Thanks smart. I'll try that as soon as I can. I wish I hadn't made my household in bridgeport. The glitches there are awful. The nightclubs are cool but not worth all the hassle
