Can't enroll 2 sims at a time

I don't know if it's just me or not, but when I try to send two sims to the college it makes me create a new household. So after restarting my game and trying again I went ahead and made a new household and when I clicked the house to live in I couldn't see my sims and my mood bar was blue not green. It was really odd. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?
