Firefighter not leaving

My sim blew up his car and the whole house was on fire, so after all the mayhem this firefighter just stayed. I can't interact with him and he is just staying in the same place
How do I get rid of him?

I think you can use testingcheatsenabled true, shift click on the sim, click delete.  I take it, he is an NPC sim.  I know I can use it on my own sims, but I have never tried it on NPC, just a thought.  Or find "resetsim fullname of sim" enter.  I also used this one on a sim downtown, that had been in the same spot for days.  I used that and, poof, she was gone.

To use the reset Sim feature, check this thread.  You need to be sure that you type everything exactly right because it's case sensitive.

All sorted now!  I just deleted him but somthing weird happened after. The fire engine came and the fireman came out and said somthing along the lines of "well done you got rid of the fire before I got here" even though there was no fire!
