Food replicators memory is wiped
« on: October 09, 2012, 05:27:41 PM »
This is a problem I'm having in my immortal dynasty file.

I have an upgraded food replicator. Each time I reload the game after turning of my computer the food replicators memory is empty, which meant I have to cook another batch of ambrosia and store it before it can be used.

I haven't really played with the food replicator a lot before and just want to know if this is usual or if I'm experiencing some kind of glitch.

I clear all my caches after closing down my game, could this be effecting this?

I'm looking forward to any information you have.

I regularly clear out my caches and my last 60 plates of ambrosia are still in the replicator.  I wonder if it's the replicator itself - do you have a way to get another one?  Was it a unique LTR for an immortal where you can just have them buy another one without messing anything up?

I got another replicator, and the old one started to work again. So, now I have two. I think it was just a glitch.

I was thinking it might have something to do with clearing caches or maybe deleting thumbnails, but I tried restarting without doing any of that and the problem still persisted. Then, all of a sudden it was working again. How, is still a mystery.

I've had the same issue. I thought the replicator was glitched so I got another one from a Sim (the wish elixir is great at really building up huge balances of LTH points). I stored some ambrosia in that one along with a plate of something else (two ambrosia, one cheese plate). So far it's holding up. Just in case I'm changing the planned order of my immortals so the next one is the cook. My current cook is making ambrosia like mad and storing it in a chest to get me over until then in case the replicator loses its memory again.

Do you have a Bonehilda? I wonder if she cleans it out...

No, I don't have a Bonehilda because I have two sims who are afraid of her, and it was to much hassle to always restart their ques every time they saw her and freaked out.

So, I don't think that's the problem (at least not for me).

I don't think it's possible to clean a food replicator out. I have 2 food replicators in one of my saves and I've never seen her or anyone else for that matter try to clean them out.
