Are there any other ways to sleep besides bed, sleeping bag and tents?

I think you can sleep on a couch. You can definitely nap on a couch.

Not that I know of. I know if you have the Generations Expansion there is an option during a bachelor or bachelorette party to "sleep on the ground" or something relative to that.

I think that's about it, yeah. During a bachelor/ette party you can sleep on the ground on purpose. Other than that, if you run out of energy on a lot with nowhere to sleep, you'll pass out - I think if you run out on a lot with a bed you'll first attempt to sleep in the bed.

Hmm. Now I'm thinking I could get maybe a green lounge chair, try to hide it in the ground with MOO or something like that. Or I could just have sims pass out.

If your sim has the Dramatic trait, you can do a "fake pass out". It's supposed to be fake but you still gain energy  :P

If your Sim is talking to someone who is boring, he'll sleep on the ground for a few minutes. Also, if your Sim is a vampire, he'll pass out and snore v's instead of z's.

This! ^^ Getting your Sim beaten up by a Mummy is a sure fire way to pass out, funny to watch too.  :P

If you had Generations, kids can sleep in the Tree House. If you had the baby swing from the Sims 3 Store, babies and toddlers can fall asleep on it.
