so I bought a super new gaming computer at christmas and immediately crammed all my sims 3 up until that point onto the solid state hard drive (my C:drive). I had no problems until I started having power supply issues so I sent it to the makers who fixed it for me. I popped on a few more expansions over the year and more recently when supernatural came out realised I had no space left!! Weirder still I seemed to be LOSING space randomly.. even when I wasnt playing.
My game was laggy and so I decided to save my supernatural to my Z:drive (a TB of delicious space!) .. The issue on the C:drive continued to the point where my computer blue screened me. So my friend deleted my Temp file for me (Im no pc genius!!) and I started to uninstall a few more sims expansions and move them over to my Z:drive aswell. My C:drive looks much happier!!
But I can't play my sims!!! When I click on the launcher icon it says error during startup - see Log for details and then cancels. Another box once popped up and merrily stated - "the shortcut it is referring to has been moved and no longer works, nearest match is Z:\sims\sims ambitions\game\Bin\Sims3Launcher.exe".
It then asks if I want to fix so I say yes but it makes no difference.. the route it gives still leads to the error. The Sims file contains 4 further files, one for each expansion, which I had to custom save as default was my C:drive. Are there too many files? can the expansions not be read together if they are save this way? How can I save it so that the game can 'see' it??
It's just odd because it worked for the supernatural fine. Since I uninstalled and reinstalled a few more.. nothing works!
Really hope someone can suggest what I've done wrong! Cheers guys!

NB: I am going to try and re-install my supernatural last and use that disc.. as I have read that you need to use the latest expansion to play.
NBB: that didn't work
