Sunstones

Does anyone know where to find Sunstones in Moonlight Falls? I have been looking everywhere and I have been to the elixir shop everyday for about 2 weeks and haven't come across one yet.

I have found some across the road from the hospital towards the mountains.  From what I can tell it shares a spawn location with various other gems so really the only way to find them would be to pick up the other ones.

If this isn't a challenge file and you're not opposed to cheating, you could always place the new gem spawner - alchemy from buydebug onto your home lot.

 actually i still haven't found any.....are they the ones you have to have a dog dig up??

You don't have to, no, though dogs can find them. It just sometimes takes a while before they spawn - they seem to be the most valuable of the new gems so they'd be rarer than a lot of others. I think I had the best luck over near the mountains too.

Sunstones are the only orange colored rock out there so you'll always know you found one when you finally do but they seem to be the rarest out of all them.  In my immortal dynasty, I've only gotten one over the last three Sim weeks and I think it was through rock breaking.

Wow, I must be lucky! I found one in the first few days of playing! If you're facing townhall, on the right, somewhere there near a big rock is where I found mine, along with a couple of special seeds.

I might be lucky too. My Sim found one on her home lot, and it was maybe day two or three.

My home lot has a ridiculous number of sunstones spawning. Would you like some

There's a spawner just next to one of the starter homes in the center of the town. I got one on my first day of playing in Moonlight Falls. I will check and see what it's called.

EDIT: The house is called "The Affordable Elegance".

From what I've seen they only spawn during the day and I keep going on the sand around the beach to get one.
