What Traits for Ambitions?
« on: June 13, 2010, 05:35:49 PM »
For my next gen in my sim legacy, I decided to have all my children get ambition jobs.  For my son, I am going to make him become an inventor.  He is a child at the moment, so he is raising logic and handiness, but what traits should I pick? Then for my daughter I'm going to make her into a teacher, but I was wondering if it pays good and what traits?  Finally my other daughter, she will become a doctor and does that pay good? Thanks.

Here's the link to the guide article on inventor:

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/skills/ambitions/inventing/

unfortunately I did not see that it mentions good traits, however I know that eccentric is a good trait for inventors.

Here's the link to the latest guide article on doctor:

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/lifetimewishes/ambitions/worldrenownedsurgeon.php

But this is the link that has the income of the doctor profession:

As for teaching, I thought there was a post somewhere in the forum that listed the income for the education career, but I'm sorry I can't find it. I do know it needs logic and charisma, so perhaps Genius and ... charismatic? (is there such a trait?).

For an Inventor, I'd say the Eccentric and Handiness traits.  Also, according to the Prima Guide, the Educator career starts around $120 per day and ends up at around $1,621 per day.  Genius and Charismatic traits are good for this one.  And the doctor profession isn't new with Ambitions.  It's always been available since the release of Sims 3.  Ambitions just expands on it some.

I would raise their skills a bunch, when you're self employed (as an inventor or whatever) you gain job experience whenever you gain skill.  If you already have skills it actually puts you at a much slower job advancement.
