Painting river edges
« on: August 31, 2012, 10:24:55 AM »
Does anyone else have trouble painting river edges? Every time my paintbrush even remotely hits the water, it stops painting, and I have to start again, ruining my smooth effect. Is it just one of those things where I need to save and restart CAW? I know it can get a little buggy at times. Or is there a trick to it?

Well, I have never had that problem. I know that sometimes the brush tool can become invisible, but it will still work. Or of you get interrupted, just start from a fresh spot to avoid overlapping.

Another solution would be to Lower the water level to as low as it can go, then do your painting. When you are done, put the water level back to it's original place. (Use the Change Sea Level button Found under the terrain tab)

Good ideas, Krrank. I found that it was just CAW being buggy on me though. It has a little tantrum every now and then, (no idea why) and then works properly after restarting. It disappears from the edges at certain angles, but I'm used to that, and it still maintains the single 'click' that it takes to get the painting even.
