Devamping a vampire
« on: August 07, 2012, 05:13:37 PM »
Is there any way at all, like with Nraas MasterController, or anything that will let me devampify a vampire? Certain NPC sims I don't mind being vamps. They seem to fit the roll. But others, well, it bugs me when I see a sim I like has been turned and I just want to unvamp them.

Anyone know a way to do this?

Go to the science lab and buy the potion. I forget how much it costs, but once it is in your inventory, just click it and drink it and they will be turned back into a normal sim. Not sure if the bug has been fixed where the devamped sims can't gain skill levels, but it may have been fixed, but my suggestion would be save right before devamping them so if the bug isn't fixed you could reload to before devamping.

NPC Sims are never vampires.  These are the maids, pizza deliverers, repair people, etc.  What you're talking about are the townies, the people who live around town.  I don't know if you can change one back to normal if it's not under your control.

I'm moving this to the Late Night board because it's specifically about Late Night game play.

hmmm, don't see any option for buying a potion, only Tour Science lab, join science career, etc...

My town is quickly becoming over run by vamps. Fortunately one of my sims is bave, athletic, hot headed and a grandmaster simfu king and she's having some fun kicking vampire butt all over town. lol

Yes, with Twallan's MasterController you can "devamp" a vampire. I've done it to the whole town at times. You can only buy the potion if your sim is a vampire.

You can only buy the potion if you're a vampire, and its cost is $3000. However, you can buy multiples and they can be given as gifts or moved to another sim's inventory.

If your non-vampire household is trying to cure vampire townies, the only really legitimate way is to move them into the household and do the above. Then you can kick them out, but run the risk of them going back to vampire.

Awesome news. But How? I don't where to look to find that menu option.

I forget the exact command and don't have the mods installed right now - I'm working on a challenge. There is an "occult" interaction under one of the commands where you can remove the occult status. I won't have the mods installed for at least a week since I need to get this challenge done before Monday.

You have to have Master Controller and MasterController Cheats. Then it's under Intermediate and Occult. From the Occult menu you can chose what you want them to be.

I take it these are players you want to keep around but just not as vampires?  Otherwise, kill them off.

To kill them off you have to keep them talking in the sun,or invite them to a party and lock them in so they can't leave and just keep talking to them a lot.  Eventually they run out of plasma fruit and die.

You can also, using testingcheats enabled, kill them off by putting them in your home lot swimming pool, remove all ladders, and seal it off with Gothic fence.  It takes awhile but eventually they do die.

You can also go into edit town, find the house they are living in if they aren't some of the homeless townies, remove them from the house and your clipboard.  The game will generate more vampires so it's not the best method.

Can you tell I really hate vampires?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Yes, we can tell.  I've probably asked you this before, but have you played a Sims 3 vampire?

I have no problems with vampires, their fast skilling is really useful, and the fact that you are safe inside during the day is cool too. On the Sims 2 it was ridiculous. Vampires hopping out of coffins during the day and not even safe inside.

Go to science lab. When you click on it it should say.. Buy Vampirism Begone potion or something. Its 3000 simoleons. It will be in your inventory, so just click it in your backpack.
