Hi, Sims_Lover.

Here's what I'm seeing from your crash analysis:

• Insufficient Graphics Capability - The Intel HD series graphics cards are not usually capable of playing Sims 3 at max detail/resolution. Try lowering the graphics detail in the Options menu in the game. It would help to know exactly which model of Intel card you have. A program like Speccy should be able to help you out.
• Corrupt Save Crash - Something to try after lowering your graphics settings is to start a new game and play around with it awhile to see if it crashes. It does sound like maybe your current game save is corrupted.
• Warning updates available - your game isn't fully patched to the latest version. Ensure you're online and run the launcher to see if it offers an update. If not, you may need to manually patch your game to 1.34 1.36.

I have an HP laptop with a similar Radeon HD Mobile card. I get decent performance from the game by setting most of the graphics settings to Medium and setting the game resolution to 1280 x 720. It's still sluggish at times, but for the most part it's playable. I mostly use it for building houses.

Essentially, it's the processor that's the issue. The processor has the graphics processor built-in, and according to a CPU World review of the Pentium B940 processor, this bullet point stood out:

• On-chip graphics controller. This controller is capable of displaying HD content, but it lacks many features, found in Core-branded models, such as 3D acceleration, Quick Sync and Clear Video HD.

The lack of 3D acceleration and some of the other missing features means the software has to do a lot of work to make up for the missing stuff. So, unfortunately, the computer won't play the game well, as you've experienced.

I've had my eye on a couple of Acer laptops:

• Acer Aspire V3-771G-9697 (link to NewEgg.com)
• Acer Aspire V3-571G-9435 (link to NewEgg.com)

Both have Core i7 quad-core processors and an nVidia GT 640M graphics with 2 GB of dedicated video memory. The graphics card is well-rated for gaming.

The systems are about $80 difference in price. The V3-571G has 6 GB memory and a 500 GB hard drive, a slightly better processor (2.3 GHz clock speed), and is a little lighter. But the resolution is limited to 720P (1366x768) so you won't get the same resolution as your current laptop.

On the other hand, the V3-771G has 8 GB memory and the same resolution as your current Toshiba. It also has two 500 GB hard drives in it (noted in the specs and the reviews). But the processor is slightly weaker (2.2 GHz - shouldn't affect the game) and costs $80 more.

One thing to note is these laptops have two graphics processors. The Core i7 in each laptop has an Intel HD processor on the chip and the nVidia processor on a separate chip. From what I've read, the Intel GPU (graphics processor unit) is enabled by default, so you may need to tweak a setting in Windows to enable the nVidia GPU as the system default.
