Maintaining a Legacy Family in One Town
« on: August 20, 2012, 04:07:22 PM »
Hey everyone - my first post here (though I've been reading this forum for a long time).

I was wondering what tips anyone could share with me about keeping their legacy families in one town. I've found that with my legacy family, about three weeks in weird things indicative of corruption begin happening: Sims disappearing and needing a resetSim command, leaving work two minutes after beginning it, and ignoring commands to go to a location. Are there ways to make this situation better? (it's a large family 8 members, and a lot of stuff in the house.

Welcome to our Forum!

It's the nature of a legacy or Dynasty game to start getting bugged and have slow loading times.  However, I would suggest that you look at our Technical Help board and read the topics that are in the sticky section at the top of the board.  There are lots of suggestions for keeping the game running smoothly and I'm sure some of it would help with a legacy/Dynasty game.  Other have suggested that you keep the family lot as clean as you can and not load it up with a lot of items.  This would help, but it's hard to get through all those generations without accumulating a bunch of stuff.

Thanks so much, Pam! I'll take a look at it.  :D I try to play a non-hoarding game, but it's hard not to hoard...
