Families exploring same tomb?
« on: August 11, 2012, 08:52:34 AM »
I tried to post this earlier and hit the wrong button so I think I lost it.

I had three questions, not sure if they sould be separate.

1.  I have different family members visiting same countries and sometimes doing same adventures.  How does this affect the visa points?  I am assuming that the points are for each sim and can't be transfered to the family.

2.  There are items, keys and such, that are needed that various sims have found, should I give them all to the sim who is visiting a country, such as take the ones from others and put it in Jaques inventory when he goes to Egypt?

Exploring tombs, if I explore a tomb and finish it, but it isn't part of an adventure, I lose the visa points, right?

The one who gets the original adventure is the one who gets the visa points. Other family members can tour the tomb with them; but, you should switch keys to the one with the adventure quest.

You only get the Visa points if you have the adventure queued up. i.e if it's not in an adventure, you won't get the Visa Points.

However, if you later get an adventure that calls for you completing the tomb again, you will get the Visa Points then. :)

  • Just as well my sims game is unplayable (stupid update issues!) I don't have time these days anyway.

As an aside, if you want to make the rooms dark again for future explorations, type in [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[C], then enter <testingcheatsenabled true> and after your sims exit the lot, [Shift]+click on the lot and select "Buy on this lot". Then in every room you will see a black ball called a tomb room marker. [Ctrl]+[Shift]+click on any one of them, and select "Fog"-"Reset Fog" and then either the room, lot or world. That will black out the selected area once again.
