"Rejuvenation" project on Bridgeport and Twinbrook
« on: September 04, 2012, 03:48:04 PM »
OK, so I'm definately going to to this, I was mulling over it for a while. I'll post screenshots of the progress as I go along. If anyone would like to join me, say so here.

By BP and TB, do you mean Bridgeport and Twinbrook?  It would be a good idea to spell them out in the subject line.  A little more information about your project would also be good.  :)

Yeah, I do. ;p

By rejuvenation, I mean changing the lots' grass texture from those horrible dark green to a nicer, brighter texture, making a few "bigger" homes in Twinbrook, they all seem so small. I also wish to upgrade a few of the apartment building shells in Bridgeport, and make a loft or two, inside the Civil Suites, for example. All of these put together should make a "better" Twinbrook and Bridgeport, overall.

Already doing both of these.  BP makes me depressed so I switched my main focus to Barnacle Bay which is almost done.  If you look in the swap shop you'll find my rebuild of the graveyard in BP and if you want to use it you have my permission to do so.  I dislike gloomy graveyards so it's rather pretty.

I suggest you contact Neashaleigh and get her ok  for some of her builds as she has a lot of them that would be great for BP.

TB is a lot of fun to remodel/rejuvenate.  I built an entire new section in the undeveloped area that became my favorite part of TB.  There are also a lot of areas where you can insert small lots and post tiny houses in them.

Ausette has a really nice tavern she did for TB also.  I think it's in the swap shop.

Good luck with this and have fun.  If you need any help or anything I'm just a pm away.  Can hardly wait to see the first pics!

I re-did my first house in Bridgeport.

It's the "Powell House" apartment. I added a pool and hot-tub in the "back", added a butler/second room and expanded up, to make the living room a loft. There's an outside eating area and easel, and a piano in the living room. I don't have pics, the camera's being weird.

Sounds like it's going to be fabulous!  Can hardly wait for the camera to behave so I can drool over the pics.

Anyone got any ideas for the 60x60 lot in Bridgeport? (Yes, there is a 60x60 lot, the Big Bling household lives there) I demolished it, and now there's an akward empty space.

Ok, you could:

A. bull doze space, (save first!) and make smaller lots of the big one  put in houses

B.  put in a park  or campground

C.  build or download a mansion to put in

Put in a ranch.
I redid a lot in Bridgeport. Took out the huge plumbob studio and put in it's place a combination school/atheletic building. I removed the large park, to make room for houses. The old school was deleted to make room for a smaller plumbob and houses. The old atheleltic building was deleted and I put in a Showtime venue, which allowed me to delete the old theater. In place of the theater, I put in a Private venue. I upgraded all the tiny homes near the Cooks, so they could house families and a day care. The hospital was removed and made a combined hospital/science center. Again to gain space for housing. Since the Overlook was seldom used, I put an equestrian center there and behind it a horse training ground. I put in a smaller library and smaller fire station, to gain more room.

Cool idea. I usually put in a house there. The one that is there currently is a model on the Farnsworth house.

For the akward space, I kind of decided to leave as is, for now. I moved the fire station and changed the library so that they're on 20x20 and 21x20 lots respectively. The old library is now what will be the Ice Lounge when Seasons is released.
