Samantha Smythe stole my baby!

I was in the process of moving in Bridgeport with my family. I have a toddler son and triplet baby daughters. Two of the babies appeared in the downstairs lobby of the new building, and I clicked over to watch them as the parents brought the son and third daughter over.

I watched Samantha Smythe pick up one of my daughters and take her into the elevator with her. The daughter's picture disappeared from the sidebar where the rest of the family is pictured. Luckily I have a previous save with all three daughters still existing...but is there any way I could get my poor child back?

Are you able to visit the baby? If so, you can do the testingcheatsenabled true cheat and shift-click on the baby one of the options should be 'add to active household'. Click on that and your baby will be back in your household. Hope that helps because I have no other ideas to help because I have never had that problem.

I had a disappearing baby when my sim gave birth to twins in an apartment building. I got it back bu going to Edit Town, switching the active household to another lot and right back. This, I guess, resetted the family with babies and the baby and his icon were fixed and back to where they were supposed to be.

Did you try "resetSim Name of child"?  Obviously "Name of child is just there so you know to put your child's name in that spot.

Personally, I think thats quit funny. It wouldn't be funny if you couldn't get the baby back, but since you can, I laughed at this. She stole your kid? Cheeky sim.

Ok I've heard and seen funny thing in this game but that is just nuts! I have recently tried to incinerate my sim in a fire pit with doors that lock once you enter through any of them. Fire traps on all walls and floor. Burnt to a crisp but JUST WOULDN'T DIE! Seriously...

My sim is a single mother of a new born baby living in an apartment building. I invited a neighbor over just for some neighborly socializing and she picks up my sims baby and says "Bye, I gotta go now." and walks out with my sim's baby and disappears behind her npc door. The baby's portrait disappeared from my household. I had my sim call the police for which she was fined 500 simoleans for playing with the phone.

What's up with that? Lock your doors if you have kids in the house. They're not as safe as you'd think. lol

Thankfully I have the Nraas mods installed so I clicked on town hall and did a "Reset Everything" and that got my sim's kid back safe and sound.

Did you happen to have testingcheatsenabled on with needs set to static? I think that takes the lethality out of the traps since there needs don't drop no matter what deadly moodlet they have at the time. At least that's my assumption. I haven't actually tested that with the cheats off.
