I have read Carls guide but I don't understand something. I am level 10 guitar and 5 star celebrity yet max I get for concerts is 1.800. I read in skills page that I need to perform on parties but no one really asks me to perform there. Do I just crush parties and play for tips or just perform? I am trying to increase my money making skills.
Also here agent only calls with 2 quiescent over and over to go and eat/promote restaurant and to visit a bar and order a drink. It's boring.

So What can I do if most of my skills are like really high? I don't know how to maximise guitar skill, since she is a rock star and I want to be earning lots of money

If you have a lot of skills, it's going to be a lot harder to get those Guitar Opportunities. I doubt you'll be able to SuperMax guitar skill if you have so many other skills.

Actually after 1 week I got one opportunity to play guitar. I guess I will have to wait longer.
Anyone getting some good opportunities by their agents? all I get is 2, go to eat and promote restaurant (I count them as one) and to go and get a drink somewhere.

By agent, I assume you mean Celebrity Agent? I don't seem to get much more than "Networking is Key." (where you have to befriend Sim X) If you want to continue this discussion, it'd probably be best to start a new thread about it, since this one's about guitar.

Celebrity agents have nothing to do with how much money you get for concerts.  What concerts are you talking about specifically?  You mean the ones for your career as a rock star? 

The thing that usually allows people to make more money when playing for tips is the number of performances you have for songs.  There are some songs that are broken when played on an electric guitar that means they stop playing after the first few notes. Or you could use a normal guitar and cancel the song after it starts. Doing this will increase the money made by a lot.   

Celebrity agents have nothing to do with getting concerts or party invites.  They are only there for very specific opportunities: the restaurant, work out for 4 hours, befriend so-n-so, have a drink, go dancing, cameos in film/plays.  Since celebrity opportunities have nothing to do with guitar, that means any talk of them is actually off-topic.

NO not a new discussion. I thought my agent would be giving me tasks to go and perform here and there. Instead he only gives me 2 tasks over and over.
Only place I can earn money is perform a concert and play for tips. Just want to know is there anywhere we can get a task to go and perform on some party or I just have to go and perform on a party alone? do I need to perform or just play for tips. I am confused just want to be able to earn more money by performing concerts.

Your agent is only going to be giving you the opportunities I mentioned above.  Your agent is not going to be giving you anything to do with guitars or concerts unless you're in a band and not the music career because that's two different things.  If you place the movie studio, you might get more than the two you've gotten however. And yes talking specifically about celebrity opportunities is a different subject from making more money with concerts and therefore off topic.

People who play guitar that aren't celebrities don't get agents so that's why they are completely separate.   In order to complete the guitar star challenge, you need to do 10 opportunities.  These don't come from a celebrity agent they come like any other opportunity as in via the phone and that means you have to keep your skill opportunity slot empty for them.   

There are no opportunities to go perform for a party that another Sim is hosting and these parties don't count towards the guitar star skill challenge.   

Concerts are a part of the rock star career.  Gigs are part of being in a band.   You said she was a rock star.  The best advice I can give you is to have an autograph session before you perform a concert that way people are already at the location and more likely to come see you.    I would suggest doing the canceling of guitar songs to get more money while you're playing for tips.

Thanks. One more question, When talking to someone I can ask to join the band. If I create a band then I can go on gigs right?
Cause her kids are vampires and they mastered all the skills, they are teens so maybe they can make a band

Yes, once you're in a band, you can get gigs.

Yes but gigs will not count towards Guitar Star skill challenge but they will take up the skill opportunity slot.
