Baby Swing not working!

Yes, I bought that Baby Swing from the store recently, and it hasn't worked yet. Admittedly, I did have Serrano (the baby) in there for a short time, but I didn't notice a difference to needs. Does anybody have any ideas?

Yes, it was swinging.
Yes, I have wiped my DCBackup folder recently, but I always keep ccmerged.package.
I did buy and install the MultiTab at the same time, which is working.
This is my Dynasty file, so trying Mods is out of the question unless I move the save to my Casual File which has Mods and test it.

It's not that quick. I tend to max the baby's needs (a quick feed/snuggle/change diaper/sleep in crib) before putting him or her in the swing. It will tend to keep the needs up but won't raise them very quickly by itself.

The baby swing isn't the motive mobile or the moodlet manager.  Over time you will see a raise in baby's needs but since the last patch it usually only happens when the baby is swinging.   Like Ivrugger, I tend to snuggle, feed, change the baby before putting them in.   Mainly I do this because I want the baby to actually have a relationship with it's parents.

Right, the needs won't go up very quickly in the swing.  There are even times when a toddler won't go in the swing at all if his needs are already too low.  Try getting the needs maxed first, then see if the swing will keep them maxed over the period of a Sim day.  That's the best test, I think.
