Downloaded items from Simstore not showing
« on: August 01, 2012, 07:02:21 PM »
I downloaded a few hairstyles from the Sims store (using my free simpoints) but in the start up menu, they're just grayed out and I can't view them/finish downloading them.

Can someone help?

Do you mean in the launcher?  If they are grayed out, it should have a symbol saying that you installed them.   Then the only other place you should see the items would be in CAS (Create-A-Sim) in the hair section with a Sim of the appropriate sex/age.

Or not.  In my game, the symbol showing that a store item has been installed only shows right after I do the installing.  Next time I start the game, those symbols are gone but the store items are still installed and available for use (fortunately).

I have items that are installed but not showing installed in my launcher, too.  However, they're not grayed out.

You're right, Rica.  I've just checked and the only items greyed out are the patterns I've downloaded from the Swap Shop.  None of the store stuff is.  Took a while to be sure, with all the store items I've installed!

Hi, Schipperke. :)

I had the same issue as you. It took a while to get everything to work again, but I posted some instructions at How 2: Re-Install Sims Store Items that worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you as well.
