Sims 3 Backed Up Files Not Working

I backed up my Sims game a few days ago (and good though too, because I had to uninstall and reinstall my game due to some problems) and I tried to replace all of the brand new files with the old files. Am I doing something wrong? My old game won't appear and I have to start brand new now...

Hi OneFaith.  I modified your post to remove the all capital letters in the subject line.  We don't use all capitals like that here because it's harder to read and makes the Forum look noisy.  Next time you start a new topic, please just use regular text.
