How to know if your computer will run TS3

Considering buying the Sims 3 and/or an expansion pack and not sure if your computer can handle it? Well, you could spend hours fussing over your system specs and worrying that somehow just touching the mouse will make your screen explode...

Yea I'm pretty sure that site has been found to be slightly wrong on quite a few occasions.. Plus, it only gives an idea (And a rough one, at that) of what the base game will be like, but not a computer that has every SP and EP installed as well.

Easiest way, if one has already purchased the computer they want to play the game on, is to go find the demo of it on the official site and see how it works on their computer. Again, that'd only be base game though.

Well, even if its not accurate, at least it will give you somesort of indication. And if the site says your computer is not able to run it, then it will probably be right.

There have been times when it's wrong though. I can't remember who it was, but I remember seeing someone mention this a while back and they said it had said they couldn't run the game at all yet they run it fine and on medium settings. I also tried it with my own simming laptop and it says I can't run the base game when my graphics card is decent and I'm running all EPs and SPs (apart from Showtime) on a mix of medium/high with an fps of around 15-20. It's just not always accurate so it's best to follow up with other checkups too just to see if it'll run.
