Pet adoption is great and all, but the game won’t let me switch back to my favorite household because while I was playing with another, a neighborhood adoption facility took over.  How do I undesignate a taken-over house so I can get back to it?  I’m looking for a fast, administrative way, not the long solution I wound up tediously using to get my house back last night.  I had to cheat-force all the animals on the adoption lot into the active household and then leave them there because I didn’t want to spend an hour trying to get rid of them.  And, wouldn’t you know, the second I switched to just-released house, the one I left got designated as a shelter!  Which means when I want to go back to it in a few days, I’m going to have the same problem.  The crazy thing is, none of these families had pets in the first place (nor do they want them).

I didn’t try evicting/bulldozing, but that isn’t a solution either because I’ve found that wipes out inventories.  Besides, I don’t believe I could have…  I think the only town edit options available were “save to library” and “edit description”.

Are you opposed to mods?  Overwatch will get rid of Neighborhood Pet Adoption so it doesn't happen to any houses unless you want to turn it back on.

Thanks, I'm not opposed to mods but will need to give some thought to adding another one - I'm already using master controller and am afraid of getting things too tangled.  Hmm...  Maybe nraas has something already in there that will do this...I'll check.  It's kind of annoying that the game doesn't seem to have a way out of this built in.  Or some some caveat that only EA houses can be selected.
