Sims glitch, can't view family tree, can't launch game
« on: August 01, 2012, 01:43:48 AM »
My situation is pretty complicated so I'll do my best to explain it all clearly:

I'm using a Windows 7 operator.
I was building a legacy with the family I created but my household got too big and so I temporarily deleted a couple of Sims using the "moveobjects on" cheat. Later, I wanted to bring them back so I switched active households and switched back. It worked except one of my Sims' names was changed and he wasn't a part of my family anymore. I added him back to the family and then I saw that all of his achievements were all gone... so basically, he was a brand new person.

Then I saw that I couldn't access my family tree from any of my characters...

A few days ago, I backed up my files (just by copying/pasting the entire Sims3 folder). I resorted to uninstalling the game, reinstalling it again and then pasting all of those backed up files into the new Sims3 folder.

Now I can't even launch the game and I'm afraid I lost the super huge family that I've been building on for over a year now.

Is there anyway I can save my game?
