Holy Cow... Kittens...

Well, one of my sims is using a pair of cats for some additional income, and they recently (Less than five minutes ago) had kittens.

My sim got a +100 moodlet for 24 hours. The parents only got a +80. It might be that my sim is over-emotional, but I just find it funny that the owner is more excited than the parents XD

It's been ages since I had kittens, so I don't really remember, but that moodlet really sounds quite high! Maybe it "stacks" like +25 per kitten? How many did they have?

Also, I'm curious... How are you using a pair of cats for income? I think you can give the kittens for free, not sell, right? Or do they hunt for extra money?
If it was possible to be a professional breeder in the game, I'd be so happy.

Cats can be trained to hunt small critters and birds, which can be sold for extra money Might be what AceOfFools meant.

there were two kittens, and I'm using the cats to hunt. XD I chose cats over dogs (Despite the fact that a dog could make a lot more) because my sim is rarely home, and a pair of cats is almost self sufficient. They can teach themselves to hunt, they can socialize with each other to fix fun and social, and if my sim forgets to feed them, they can eat what they catch, and get a moodlet for doing so.

I can't wait to have kittens, I'm finally getting pets for my birthday next week I can't wait (although my husband is having to install more RAM in my computer first so I can run it without lag)

A foal was just born in my main game and the moodlet was +80 for the Sims and horse mommy that saw it happen.  So I think that's the standard and the +100 was because your sim was over-emotional.
