Chapter 1: Introducing Bob and Betty! You may have heard of them before, the friendly couple living on 7 Sim Lane. Always willing to help out others and never asking anything in return. But did anyone ever stop and wonder? Take an interest in their lives? How did they meet? What are their interests beyond helping the lost and misguided?
Let's find out, shall we?Meet Bob and Betty Newbie. They first met in elementary school and became fast friends. Both were without siblings so they often spent time playing with each other after school.
As they grew older, their friendship grew into something more and by the time they entered highschool Bob asked Betty to go steady. She gladly accepted of course and no one was surprised they went to prom together in their senior year. Sadly, they were too much of a prevalent sight to become Prom King and Queen.
Graduation couldn't come soon enough. The pair went together but were separated due to alphabetical technicalities and their separation seemed to last forever as is often the case for young lovers.
Bob's name came up before Betty's so he gallantly waited for her at the entrance of the building. It took her quite some time and when she finally joined him at the entrance, her delay was clearly visible. After her name was called out she immediately rushed to the ladies' room to change out of her graduation gown. "Of course..." Bob said upon witnessing her change of clothes. She merely gave him a benign smile.
Bob still had his diploma in his hands as they walked out. He looked at it with an immense sense of pride and said; "I can't believe it's finally over. We should go and celebrate, dove." Betty turned to look at him. "What did you have in mind?" She asked. He thought about that for a moment, "We could head to the bistro for a bite to eat."
Betty agreed and they walked to the bistro hand in hand.
Upon their arrival they noticed the place was packed, obviously a lot of other students had similar ideas. Thankfully the weather was nice so they decided to eat outside.
A waiter stopped by to take their order. Betty ordered grilled cheese and Bob a slice of key lime pie. "Sweet-tooth." Betty commented on Bob's choice of food. He gave her a sly smirk.
Halfway through their meal Bob asked Betty what she wanted to do now that her school days were over. "Are you going to go along with your mom's plan?" He asked. She looked up from her plate and sighed. "I'm still not sure. I do want to continue making music but I doubt being a rock star is my cup of tea." Bob nodded in response while taking another bite. "You could always try to apply for a job at the theatre and see how it goes. If you don't like it you could always quit." He told her after swallowing the piece of pie. "I suppose so. Though I hope it wont give her too much hope if I do." She replied, taking another bite herself. "What about you? Still doubting between painting and writing? You could always write illustrated stories." Bob's face lit up after she mentioned that. "I could do that, couldn't I? And maybe in the process I'll find out what I like to do best."
The couple finished their meal and Bob asked for the check. While the waiter went back inside to get them a receipt, Betty asked Bob if he would walk her home. "Not today, dove. I have something that I need to do. I will come by your place later tonight, promise." He replied. Betty was a little taken aback by this, she always asked out of habit but it was never truly necessary. He always walked her home. "What do you need to do then?" She asked curiously. Bob raised an eyebrow, grinning secretively. "You'll see, dove."
The waiter had returned and Bob paid their due. Before he walked off he gave her a long kiss goodbye and she stared at his back until he was around the corner.

Betty sat on the couch nervously, staring at the clock. Bob hadn't said at what time he would come and she never before doubted his word. But the way he left her this afternoon was just so out of character for him, she felt on edge.
Around 18:30 the doorbell rang and Betty jumped off the couch to open the door. She yanked the door open and stared Bob in the face with a bewildered look. He had to laugh at that. "Afraid I wasn't coming?" He jested. "Never worry, dove. I will always come back for you." Bob said tenderly whilst stroking her cheek. Betty relaxed somewhat after that and she invited him in. But as she proceeded to walk towards the den he stopped her by grabbing her wrist.
As Betty looked over her shoulder to see what the hold-up was, she saw Bob had dropped to one knee. He took a little, black box out of his pocket and opened it for her."Elizabeth May Simovitch, will you do me the tremendous honour of marrying me?" He proposed. Betty widened her eyes and nodded fervently. "Yes, yes of course!" She squealed.
After he placed the engagement ring on her finger, she pulled him off the ground to kiss him. "Oh you silly man." She mumbled into his neck. "I thought something had to be wrong, but now I see what you were up to." she said and she felt him tremble with laughter. "Of course, dove. I didn't exactly want to propose to you in that awful graduation gown. And I had to fetch the ring. It's not like I was going to carry that thing anywhere with me." Bob explained. He planted a kiss on the top of her head and they managed to stand there for quite some time.

They had a beautiful wedding with all their friends and family. It was nothing too grand, but enough to have the town talk about it for several weeks after.
Right after the wedding, Bob took Betty to a little place he had saved up for and bought. He carried her over the threshold and she took in the sight of her new home. Betty's eyes filled with tears. "You bought this for us?" She asked softly. "Yes, dove. I wanted to surprise you with it. I know it's not much, but we could expand as I make a little more money. I wanted for us to have a home to call our own. What do you think?" Bob replied. "It's magnificent!" Betty exclaimed.
He carried her to towards the bedroom slowly, both out of nerves but also to let her enjoy the sight of their new home.
Bob took Betty in his arms as they lay on the bed. He gently stroked her hair as she snuggled up against him. Both of them had become quiet, nervous of what was to come.
Neither of the two had ever woohoo'd before since they had always been together and, like a proper couple back in those days, wanted to wait until after they were married. So now that the time had come, Bob felt a little unsure of what to do while Betty simply waited for him to make a move due to similar motives.
Finally Betty became impatient, she took his chin in her hand and twisted his face towards her own. When she looked into his eyes she could see the inner turmoil raging and neither spoke. She simply kissed him and from there on it seemed to come natural to them.
