Is this a travel bug or?.........

I've been having such a miserable time playing my dynasty type game it is turning Sims from fun to frustration.  I actually dread playing. 

The freeze at a specific time has stopped, but now when I want my Sims to travel they all arrive, eventually, but there are no icons with their faces in it.  No plumbobs over their heads.  I can see them and interact with the founder but no one else.  When I send them back home they are fine as far as their icons are concerned but seem increasingly unwilling to perform any actions I queue up for them.  Is this a part of the dreaded travel bug or does it sound like my file is toast?  I do have a back up from when gen 4 was still a child but I really hate having to go that far back.  Is there any fix for this?

In one case all his friends except for family have turned to dislikes!  Since he's already immortal that isn't too big of a deal but for such a nice guy he's the most hated guy in town and I'm concerned it will affect his relationships with his family or cause more damage in my game.

Please help with this.  How do you fix this travel bug IF it is a travel bug?  My Sims arrive at their destination with no face icons and no way to interact with them.

I have no idea why your guy lost all his relationships but then again I've never been able to return anyone home when I lose their icons either.   

Did your UI look like this?  This is a link to crinrict's blog which has some solutions for this bug but some of them involve mods which is a person's personal choice.   I did the move out one in my original dynasty and at the time it worked.  Has not saved my most recent attempt though.

It sounds like a travel bug to me, Joria.  If the thread that loveSims linked doesn't help, I don't have any other suggestions.  The travel bugs can be a game killer.

Well, I'm afraid it IS the dreaded travel bug.  My Sims at home are functioning ok, although there are a few things going on that are strange.  I did get my heir aged up and will post that probably tomorrow, (and thank you to those who have given me permission to use their Sims in photos of the party), but I don't want to chance anything messing up the rest of the teen years of gen 3 or is it 4?  You don't count the founder as one, right?  So it would be founder, Winter, heir Justin, heir Summer and heir Christmas who is the teen. 

If it's the travel bug, does this mean that file is corrupted and therefor should not be saved and reused?  If that's the case I'd have to go back to when Christmas is a child because I stupidly did not save any back up files after that point.  I'd hate to do a reinstall but if it means I can save my game and not have to go backward that would be great for me.

This game is not for the HOF because of just too many mistakes on my part and my changing rules to suit myself, (since I had already lost the HOF), but I've been working on it off and on for over a year and I'm rather fond of the Thymes.  Plus, I have ideas for the future for their descendants.  I hate to just ditch them but it's starting to be really difficult to carry on.

In the Immortal Dynasty challenge, the founder counts as the first generation.  The objective is to get eight generations of immortals living in the house at the same time, so the founder is generation one.

I've never been to use a file when the travel bug hits.  I've had to re-play a lot of the game a few times.  I can't think of anything else that can help.
