I recently made a new family (a married couple) and wanted to make them both celebrities. One of them is at 3 stars, the other at 4, and they are both in the music career. A while ago (like, several sim weeks ago) I got a few celebrity opportunities for my 4-star sim. I cancelled one of them and completed the other two, and since then neither of my sims have gotten any celebrity opportunities. They've gotten a normal amount of career and skill opportunities, but no celebrity ones. They're already best friends with most of the big celebrities in town, so I'm running out of ideas to raise their star levels. I am running version 12.0.273.015001 with all expansion and stuff packs installed up to Showtime. My mods are nointro and NRaas error trap, overwatch, and story progression (with story progression extra). I haven't updated since I installed the mods, so I doubt it's a version conflict. I also have a bunch of store stuff and some custom items but I doubt they do anything to the opportunity coding.
I wondered if maybe setting my sims' lifespans to "long" (I had had them at normal) would slow down opportunities, but all my other opportunities seem to be going the usual rate. I also tried speeding up story progression but that didn't seem to have any effect.
Any ideas for what I can do? I mean, I know I could install NRaas master controller and manually spawn opportunities, but that feels like cheating. Am I just unlucky?
