Riverview Opinions

I am looking to download my first world for the Sims 3 and have been interested in Riverview for some time now. Sunset Valley is nice and all, but after how many years of it, it's time to move on. Can I get some thoughts and opinions on the world for you guys? What should I expect upon downloading it? Will it completely lag my game? How does it work? The game won't load both Sunset Valley and Riverview upon boot up, will it? That seems a little strange, but I am not about to assume anything lol. As I said, this is my first world.

I really like Riverview and have no lag problems. After it's downloaded and you start a new game, you will be able to select which town you want to play in. Riverview has easy fishing and a nice community garden. In the Sims 3 guide here, you can get a lot more information. The Sims wiki is helpful, too, with a lot of info on the families who live in Riverview.

Sim families that return to Sims 3 from earlier Sims games include:
- Simovitches (including Betty Simovitch who becomes Betty Newbie) after she marries into the
- Newbies (including Bob newbie) her husband. Both of them are teens in Sims 3
- Brokes who have descendants who are married into the Newbies/Simovitches in the earlier games
- Don Lothario who gets around with many a female sim in earlier game/s in the franchise.
However there are also many other interesting families/sims in Riverview.
