A Small Problem with a Wish
« on: June 21, 2012, 03:53:58 PM »
Well, a teenage sim I'm playing went to prom and came back with a romantic interest, and the relation bar nearly maxed out. A while later, he gets a wish to be that sim's Good Friend. The problem is, his relationship with this girl is already maxed out, and was nearly so when he popped the wish. Is the wish just bugged, and unfulfillable? Is this the game's way of saying they should just be friends, and that'll fix it (Which is cool by me; she's no catch).

As far as I know it's just a glitch. I've had similar wishes in the past and I just deleted them.

I've had similar problems with getting wishes I can't fullfill, or can but would require me to backtrack. One of my sims keeps getting a wish to "move in" with another sim. The only problem is.....they already live together and are married! I think it's just one of those times when you decide not to bother with the wish. Unless it's for a lot of LTR points and you really need them, it's probably not worth the hassle.

On the other hand, if you really would rather just be freinds with the sim, then you could still make that happen by asking to just be freinds, then re-building the relationship up  to good freinds.

You don't have to fulfill that wish. I would just delete it. If you want it, just ask her to be friends and do friendly interactions.

I know I don't have to... I just enjoy using wishes to direct my story when I can. As it stands, though, I think I'll just cancel the wish and wait things out.

Wishes can sometimes just be glitched for no reason.
