What game to buy?
« on: June 15, 2012, 07:46:11 PM »
I know there are threads like this out there, but I don't think any cover the same bases as this one.

In my travels, I noticed that a store I like to shop at is selling 3 Sims games that I don't have, all for around $50 (NZD). The thing is, I don't know which one to ask my family for my birthday in August.

My options are Master Suite Stuff, Outdoor Living Stuff, or Hidden Springs. I'm tempted to get HS, because of the Fountain of Youth, but I've heard it's glitchy. And with Stuff Packs, I don't usually buy them because they don't have as much content as an EP.

Which game would you recommend, and why?

I actually had that same dilemma a little while back.  It was a toss up between those exact two stuff packs.  I ended up going with outdoor living because of all the outdoorsy things I wanted my sims to do, I felt it would increase my family gameplay better than Master Suite.  I don't regret it, I feel it was the better choice.  I still don't have Master Suite.  I ended up getting Hidden Springs a couple months later, but I use the Outdoor Living stuff most.  Every time I look at Master Suite, it just looks like a bunch of bedroom sets, most of which I can make in my own or download.  I say, if you're bored with the worlds, get Hidden Springs.  If you want more "stuff", go with Outdoor Living.

It is preference, but that's what I ended up doing.  Good luck deciding!

I'd definitely say Outdoor Living - Purely because you're going to probably use it more. I mean, you won't be using the same town all the time, right? But surely you'll use some of the OLS content in almost all of your files - There's a lot of sweet stuff in there. I don't have MSS but from what I've heard about it compared to my experiences with OLS, the stuff in OLS will probably be used more widely, if you know what I mean? Mind you, there is really pretty clothes etc in Master Suite - I'll be getting it for my birthday. If it was my choice though, I'd go with OLS. ;)

I use the bathroom stuff from Master Suite quite a lot and I use Outdoor Living stuff in most of my buildings but if I had to choose between the stuff pack and Hidden Springs , I would choose Hidden Springs. I love this world with it's lush grass. I really enjoy exploring new worlds. It is a very nice one. Good luck on deciding!  :)

I mostly only use MSS for the clothing, and I get a lot more use out of OLS and Hidden Springs. The decision mainly rests on which one you think you will get the most use out of.
