Speed Up Sims 3 On Mac

(This is my first topic on this forum. Sorry if this is the wrong place)

Hello there. I have the Sims 3 on the Mac, and I have a problem. Even when I use speed level 4, the speed up time is too slow. What is Level 4 on The Sims 3 is Level 2 on The Sims 2 (Yep, I'm a Sim veteren). Is there a file on the Mac or even a mod where I can adjust the speed up time? Or is there a patch for it (I hadn't have a chance to update it-yet).

You posted in the right section, but it's against forum rules to even discuss mods due to the risk they carry, so as a moderator I cannot help you with that and keep a clear conscience.

However, if you believe it goes unnaturally slow, I would first of all suggest you to check your graphics settings. If they are too high (can be even with a powerful computer), it may go slower. Otherwise, someone else may have a suggestion.

At the beginning a lot of people's speeds were all wrong, the triple speed was very slow, so it made the game unplayable but it was fixed in the patches. 

(Fourth Speed is triple speed and then goes to normal speed after the sim has completed the action, so 3 and 4 are the same-ish.)

I had a problem recently with triple speed being hardly any faster than normal speed.  It made the nights when sims were sleeping very long indeed.  I have no idea what was causing the problem, but fortunately the next time I played the speeds had reverted to normal.
