What do you all think of the iPhone version?

Oh, sorry!  As you can see, I'm new here.  Thanks for telling me for future reference!

I have them all as well.  There's a base game one too, but it's pretty much the expansions without the special features, like traveling and babies.  Medieval is my favorite, since it seems to have a lot more depth.  The quests give it more of a story-progression feel.

I haven't played medieval in a while. Currently I've been playing free play although I think it's a little annoying sometimes how reliant I have to be on the goals.

The goals annoy me too, and I don't like that the goals deplete even when the app isn't open.  The entire thing is based around buying LPs and Simoleans.  I haven't tried the babies and toddlers update yet.  It's very hard to interpret such a great game onto a phone! though, so it's not too lengthy for the phone users who need a game to kill just a little time.  If it had all of the features the PC version does, everyone who played it would be too absorbed to stop  :)

Actually, the whole reason I'm here at all (on this forum) is because of the iPhone game. A few years ago someone bought me the game My Sims for DS. I hated it so much that I vowed never to buy any Sims game ever again! I didn't realize it was a completely different game. Anyway, when I became an iPhone app addict I decided to give Sims 3 a try. I loved it so much I eventually bought the REAL Sims game for PC (and also for my DS). Now that I'm playing the real game the iPhone game seems so limited, but it is a nice little mobile experience in its own right.

I had the DS game too, sharpsiren, and it is pretty awful.  There's no difference in the look of the Sim no matter how much you toy with the face, and the clothes aren't the best.  The iPhone edition does seem to pale when compared with the PC version, but it is a nice little game, especially if you have the expansions.  World Adventures is my favorite iPhone EP, and I guess that won't seem as good if I ever get the PC version of World Adventures.  *sigh* ::)

I agree with you about the iPhone games; my favorite one is Ambitions! As for the DS one I like it as a "practice" game, if that makes any sense, and for getting my fix while away from the computer. The only one I really don't like is the 3DS version.

I usually only play the DS version if my PC game is being difficult, as it can be. I haven't tried the 3DS version yet.  I love Ambitions too, but whenever I try to adopt, the baby never shows up and that blows my chance on the one baby that the game will allow.  And the biological babies in the game haven't aged up forever!  I love the new career options and hairstyles, though.  Ambitions and World Adventures have to be my favorite iPhone EPs.  I haven't gotten them for PC yet (I'm afraid it'll ruin the fun of the iPhone version, like the base game did for the base game iPhone).  I've heard of a Late Night theme pack, does anyone know anything about this?  It isn't showing up in the app store.   ::)

I believe you can get Late Night as a disc from Amazon or GameStop. Let me check my computer though; seems like you should be able to download it.  I'll be right back.

Ok it looks like you have to download it from Origin. It took me awhile to figure that out, but there it is. Hope that helps.
