I remember losing 250 life fruits like that, lol.  That was a lot for me that time... 1-2nd week so early... and a lot for that time.

There is also another thing really slows down my 4GB ram and 1GB graphic and 5200 cpu.
When the inventory is full by numbers, it affects the game.
When I was opening my inventory, I had 2000 life fruits and 900 flame.  Seems game was loading every single of the fruits, so game was hanging for seconds.
I had to sell all of them to reach 200+ each and after that everything went fine!

Now I know I shouldn`t fill my inventory fruit numbers, or the books I`m harvesting.

When you want to fertilize, if the number of the fruits are a lot again, it takes RAM.

Either the game programmers are not too good at optimizing their code or they assume you have the most powerful system ever.
Seriously, who would care to look at each flame fruit they have when they have like thousands?
Dont you have anything better to do? Like making sure your sims doesnt get stuck or something?
I really hope they would do something about big lag behind the big amount of inventory items.

As a hobbyist programmer I can say it's impossible to make everyone happy.
At the time of development it probably seemed like a good idea to be able to look at every single piece of fruit.
I don't think the developers thought of the real fanatics who have 2000 of an Item in the inventory.

Of course I don't know how the sims is made, but it seems like an easy enough adjustment.
They could for example only load each individual piece of fruit when the stack is less than 200 or split by quality like in Harvest Moon.

Again I don't know if this will work for the sims as every piece has an own expiration date and quality.
(not sure about the date though)

i`d also recommend putting in fridge if it was food...but Even when i put it in the fridge, i felt the game STUCK! it was really on my nerves to sell 1800 life fruits.. and now for fertilizing i`m just growing life fruits beside the other ones i wanna fertilize

i guess the load should be like fertilizing... like even if you have 2000 life fruits, then it should just show the ones different in quality... if all are perfect then just show one...

but in feeding OMNI plants it just loads the whole inventory one by one!
i also really hope to get it fixed, coz i really love gathering tons and enjoy looking at them when they are in Ks at least a record for my self :P

something else i found was when you put your sim planting seeds...imagine your sim has yellow mood and you have put 100 seeds to plant.. after you have put him planting even in the proccess if he gets a red mood for sleeping even... he wont stop ! he will plant until every seeds are planted, regardless of how bad his mood is! he will keep on doing it until it`s finished... and then i guess you need to search for a new sim to own the properties...lol

I have a stupid question. Is this situation caused by switching your household?

This same exact thing happened to me night before last. I got the message about loosing wishes, and thought all well, there were only a couple anyway - so I changed families. Came back to my first family, and poof - all of her inventory was gone. REALLY made me mad because she had a ton of perfect fruit which yields perfect fish -anyway, you get the idea. I thought it was just me.

I just sat there staring at my computer going " Are you serious??"  :-\
I will love him and squeeze him and pet him and call him George!!
