Unbuyable Objects on Community Lots

On community lots you cannot place certain objects, such as telephones and stoves.  However on some EA lots, such as the Twinbrook Fire Deperatment, stoves are placed.  Is there any way (excluding mods). that I could have a stove, phone, or dishwasher on my community lot?

If you switch the lot type to residential, you can then place those items. Then when you are finished, change the lot type back to community.

When you switch the lot back to community those items are removed. I'm not sure if it's possible in CAW though. You can zone a lot in 2 different ways in CAW - though I haven't messed with that, someone who's more proficient with it might know. I suspect that that is the only way it can be done, because doing it the normal way doesn't work.

No worries - I've tried building my own entire town, so placing things like a stove at the fire department or on a base camp proved problematic - one I haven't overcome yet either. Up until this last week I haven't bothered fiddling with the technical side of the game that much. I believe you can get CC stoves that are placable on community lots - but if it's for a dynasty/legacy that probably doesn't help much.

I figured it out! I'll list the steps here
1.  Build your lot in the game, as a residental lot.
2.  Save it to the library
3.  Make a empty world in CAW
4.  Enter Edit in Game
5.  Place a empty the same size as your lot
6.  Place your lot in the open one
7.  Exit Edit in Game
8.  In CAW,  change the lot type to community and the community lot subtype to what you want it to be
9.  Open Edit in Game and save your lot to the library.
10.  Share/ continue editing your lot,  whatever else you want to with it
