Problem with Lots from the Exchange

Help!  None of the exchange lots I downloaded will work in my game except for Bex's mod loft.  I have World Adventures and all the latest updates installed.  When I try to edit town and place a property, I get the "processing" icon into infinity and I have to use the Windows task manager to shut down the game and restart.
