Ah no, poor Erik, he was so close. I'm really curious about that person on the horse!

I think it will be his rescuer who is enchanted by his beautiful music.  Well hoping anyway.  ::)

Thanks! I'm not all that confident in my writing skills, so that is a giant complement!

Some Tales of Faerie - Phantom of the Tower

Some Tales of Faerie - Phantom of the Tower

The young stranger at the base tower was no other then Cara Gallger. She was on one of her rides through the kingdom, and had ended up there entirely by accident.
She decided to explore the seemingly abandoned tower, so she dismounted her steed and proceeded towards the door.

To her amusement the door was locked, but that was nothing compared to her lock picking skills. A few hair pins later she found herself climbing up the stairs. About half way up she started to hear someone playing the piano. This only peaked her curiosity, and she started climbing faster.

At the top, she found herself looking at the back of a young boy, around her own age, playing the piano, like there was no tomorrow.

“Hello?” She cautiously asked.
This startled Erik, and he jumped up and demanded who she was, and what she was doing in his tower.

Wait. His tower? She was just as confused as he was, and she told him to calm down and explained all that she could. He was less angry and more curious as her explanation went on. She then proceeded to ask him what he was doing in a seemingly abandoned tower in the first place.
He told her his (short and kinda boring) life story. About how he has lived there since as long as he can remember, and how his mother won’t let him leave, no matter how much he asked.

She was surprised. Who would lock someone up like this? She was going to ask him about his mother, but he looked like he didn’t want to talk about his predicament anymore. So she dropped it. She had to go home anyway it was getting late. She told him that she would come back and talk to him again, and he seemed to light up at the idea.
So come back she did. At least once a week she would come and talk to the boy in the tower. They became close friends over the next few years.

He would sometimes play is piano for her,

but most of the time they just talked.

They were good at keeping their friendship secret. The Witch had no idea that someone was entering the tower, and if someone asked Cara about where she was going, she would always tell them “To see the Phantom.” They all just as assumed that she was going to the graveyard, and just left it. Sadly all good things must come to an end, and one day while they were having one of their many long winded conversations, the witched walked in.

They didn’t notice her, but she saw them. This was not good. Not good at all. She hatched a plan, and would execute it soon.

Some Tales of Faerie - When Will My Life Begin?

First off I am so sorry for leaving this for over a month. My game had been crashing a lot recently, so I haven't really been playing all that much. It seems to be working properly now, so fingers crossed that I'll be able to play for longer stretches.  ;D

Some Tales of Faerie - When Will My Life Begin?

The next week when Cara was on her way to see Erik, the witch ambushed her right outside the door.Willow was furious. She yelled at the hapless girl, calling her a thief, and saying that whatever she had found was hers and to leave immediately. This only made the other woman angrier. She Called the witch crazy, and that you couldn't own a human being.

That was the last straw for Willow. She summoned her magic at the now terrified Cara.

"You will pay for what you have said, foolish girl!"

And with a zap of green Magic,

Cara was now part toad.
Upset and confused she left the place, ashamed of how she now looked, (or for the most part, the fact that no one recognized her) she hid.

Poor Erik waited into the night for his friend. But she never came. He was saddened that she never showed up, and that he was back at square one. Nobody to talk to except Christine.

He still cared for his scaly friend, but he missed having a human companion. Willow was rarely home, so he busied himself with cleaning,

Practicing all sorts of instruments,

and reading, something he hadn't done since he was a child.

And so his teenage days went. He missed Cara deeply, and sometimes wondered what happened to her, but mostly he wondered when his life would start. Something greater then being in his tower was out there waiting for him, he knew it. He just had to find it.

Just as Summer turns to fall, his teenage years slipped away, and soon he was on the doorstep of being a young adult.

On such a momentous occasion, Willow showed up to celebrate with him. Scaring the living daylight out of Erik in the process.

"Mother, what are you doing here?" He inquired after he had recovered.

"Spending time with you. It is your Birthday after all." was her reply.

"But you haven't celebrated with me since I was a child mother. I find that hard to believe."

"Today is special."

and that was the end of the brief conversation.

So he became a young adult. And one thing was on his mind at this point. He would find Cara if it took him to the end of time.

What a way to get rid of Cara, now hopefully Erik can cure her. Don't worry about posting regularly, my game crashes and causes all sorts of glitches all the time.
