Chapter 11: Meeting the Locals

Dearest Issy,
By the time you’re reading this, you’ll be in Hidden Springs. Daniel, Hailey and I will miss you dearly, but we know you will thrive in the Springs. I must remind you that the tasks that you must complete, can’t be failed. When I first rolled for you, Hailey was to be the heir but I knew that these tasks were more you, so I convinced her to have another challenge with you.

You must be strong; the fate of the Legacy depends on it. You must become a single mother of 4 children. I know it sounds hard but you must try your best. You won’t have a job; you will have to collect objects for a living. Monkey should be a help. You will miscellaneously have to live in Luxury. I’m sure that will be a blast. And lastly, you will be a perfectionist. Your charisma skill will be supermaxed.

The taxi ride was long but felt quick while reading Mum’s letter. I was ecstatic. As Monkey and I arrived at our cottage, I was ready to go out and explore the town.

The house has a small lake and a large open area in the back. The house has one bedroom one bathroom but considering I will have 4 children, it will be expanded.


I quickly went out to the park, which I can’t really call a park since there is nearly no grass! I met someone inside the building, Jewel Song. She was quite a nice person. Even flattered me multiple times. We were soon good friends and my second friend toward my lifetime wish. Monkey was out exploring too. But he was searching for collectables and resting at home.

Day 2 soon came and it was my graduation? It totally confused me since I didn’t go to school in Hidden Springs but when I got the call and the award, I was pretty happy.

Monkey made me very angry. He dirtied my graduation clothes and then got fleas! I was tempted not to wash him but then he would have infested the house.

That night I went off on an exploration to the forest part of town and visited a green lady’s house. Her name was Cassidy Earthsong.

She seemed really interesting but got bored of my conversations! Gosh! She made it up by letting my stay over in the spare room with the designer bed.


The morning of Day 4 and I meet Cassi’s roommate, Nicholas Riverhawk.

A singer called ‘blue singer’ gave a really good performance at the coffeehouse. She was really good and her voice was brilliant. (Thanks ratchie)


I think I was cheering the loudest and dancing the funniest out of all the crowd.

Day 5 started really tiring with an opportunity asking me to work out for a few hours. I then had to take my dress to Laundromat to get washed as I got sweat all over it!

By this time I knew quite a few people so I decided to throw my first party! The local dance club was a sweet venue for my fabulous party! I made a few friends with the crashers and boosted relationships with my friends.


Day 6 is a Saturday which I spend at home until I receive a call from my friend Caterina Vanderburg. She invites me to her party which I thoroughly enjoyed but my favourite part was staying the night and meeting this man the next morning.

Author’s Note: Finally an update! I haven’t been playing much due to school and I’ve had these pictures for a few weeks! Hopefully the next time I update, it will be sooner rather than later.

Chapter 12:Love and Whatnot
Issy

Sebastian Vanderburg had walked into his bedroom to see my asleep. He quickly ran to his mother to ask who this lady was. By the time he had returned I was up and doing my hair and he gave me a fright when he walked in.
Sebastian: So, do you normally sleep in other people’s beds?
Issy: What! Who are you?!
Sebastian: Sebastian Vanderburg, you know your friends’ son who happens to sleep in that bed!
Issy: Sorry, I didn’t know she had a son.
That was a lie. I just thought the son didn’t live with his parents.
Sebastian: So do you have a name? Or a job you need to get to?
Issy: My name’s Issy Lakers, unemployed. And you are a?
Sebastian: Policeman. I make sure every traffic light in the city is safe and working.
Yeah, awesome job mate.

Our conversation may have started awkwardly but I knew this was the man I needed to be the father of my children. So after multiple sweet talks and flirts we were kissing our life away.


I was quickly off though, as I had already arranged to go watch a performance with Liam O’Dourke. I became his best friend and completed an opportunity through some monkey business.

With all the money I had gained from Monkey’s hunting, I built a new room and transferred all of my bedroom items into there and bought a few new couches and re-painted the walls for my new living room.

But that wasn’t the only addition. I had a party area built outside by the lake and mini forest and threw my second party, but first at home, inviting all my friends and my boyfriend.

My favourite part of the new area is the Slip ‘n’ Slide! It’s so much fun to slip down or slide down for that matter!

The best part about the party was what happened afterwards. Sebastian really knows his way into a girls’ heart.

I still practise once a day by the mirror my Charisma skill. It takes very little effort for me to practise or even increase my skill!

Monkey’s hunting has brought in this really odd statue. He left it at the front door while I was out and I was surprised when I nearly fell over this ‘Diamond Dog’! It’s worth a lot so I placed it in the living room with all my other valuable things.

While completing a dancing opportunity at a club with a friend, I found out I was pregnant. (Author’s Note: And the only sim I know who I actually think suits the maternity wear she’s wearing!) I kept on dancing until I completed the opportunity though!

My aching back slowed most of what I did for the next day so I decided a trip to the spa was necessary. My back felt like it was in heaven!

My Lifetime Wish has to have 20 friends. This guy called, called, well I can’t remember what he was called but he was my 20th friend! To celebrate I went out with Sebastian to the bistro.

But while explaining why I was so ‘fat’, the ‘fat’ decided to come out. After a long fight he finally drove me to hospital! I can’t believe him sometimes.

Hours later I walked out of the hospital holding Jacqueline Lakers and Sebastian has following me closely home with Katrina Lakers. He wanted Katniss Lakers but I refused. Katniss would not be the name of my daughter.

When I placed the twins in their swings and fell asleep, I dreamt of Hailey and James and how by now, they would have a child.

Spare Checkup #1: Evan Lakers
Hailey Lakers

You remember me right? Yes, it’s me Hailey Lakers. It’s a part of the Legacy for every so often for one of the Spares to be checked up on so you, the reader, know what’s going on with everyone other than the heir.
Soon after Issy left, James grabbed Marina and I took us down the road to our new house. It’s small but it’s all we need right now.

Soon after we moved in, I delivered my little child, Evan Lakers.

Both Evan and I loved spending all our time with little Evan. Even if he didn’t leave his swing, Evan loved his time as an infant.

I got myself a job as a stylist. My first job was with Roxie Lin. After a long chat, I finally got to styling her.

Over the next few days, I had styled 3 people including Dad. Can you spot which one is Dad? They’re all Elders because Dad had his Elder birthday when Evan was born.

Evan bought a hot tub and I must say it is so relaxing. Spending nights in there snuggled in James’ arms, it’s just beautiful.

Evan’s birthday was right next and boy was that a hell of a day. Mum was just trouble in herself. She came with Dad and as soon as I was having a chat and distracting Dad, boom. She and Alex Tolliver had worked together for years, but when she started to flirt with him, I was so mad! She and Dad had gone through so much and she was going to ditch him for a co-worker.

So I shouted. Everyone watched. Dad cried upstairs being comforted by James and Evan. While some joined in on my side, Alex gave Mum back-up. Coming up with good comebacks but it was all over when James brought Evan down to blow out the candles!

Mum tried to make it up by being one of the few to cheer for Evan while James told Alex to ‘go away’.

I quickly designed Evan new clothes and as soon as he was wearing clothes, he disappeared.


So, after a long talk, we sorted Mum out. Apparently she had too much coffee staying up last night to prepare Evan’s present. Then life slowed down. We got into a routine of work, rest, play with Evan or Marina. We also started to go down to the park once a week as a family tradition. Sometimes Dad would come and sometimes Mum would but mostly, the Hailey Lakers branch of the family, were as close as we could be.

Chapter 13:Everybody Loves Issy
Issy

It’s taken a day or two but I finally have gotten the hang of that baby swing. They don’t like to be swinging at a fast pace but love the slow pace. Whoever made those things must be complete idiots to include a fast pace! I bet they didn’t even test it out on babies...
When I did get the hang of it all, it was easy  to get them asleep and get myself asleep.

I was in papers everywhere about having a child out of wedlock. Seb was left out of each article as no one knew who the father was. Some of my many friendships were broken. It took me ages to repair the relationships with my friends. If only they knew why it had to be done. Sometimes I wish Hailey was the heir. I never wanted children. If you ask me they are just whining little brats.

One of my friends invited me out to a party. Even with my recent scandal, I was being pictured left right and centre. It was odd though. It was a swimming party but there was no pool. Seb was there too. Later on, after everyone got a photo of me, I spoke to him.

I told him how the children were going and that no one knew we were dating. He had read a few papers but no matter how much I tried to convince him, he wouldn’t admit to going out with me. His words ‘My reputation would be broken. The criminals I catch would just laugh at me. Hidden Springs would be a mess.’ I couldn’t believe him.

I kept my mind busy by staying at home, spending time with Monkey, calling friends, loving my two children and maxing my Charisma Skill. I need to SuperMax it and I have already completed two challenges. It’s tough keeping so many friends, but being my amazing self I can cope. Besides, everyone loves me in one way or the other.

The girls birthday came up on me by surprise. With everything going on, I didn’t throw a party and Seb was at work and couldn’t come over himself. Jacqueline blew her candles first, followed by Katrina.


I bought them each the best clothes money could buy fitted out in their favourite colours. Katrina’s favourite colour is blue and Jacqueline’s is hot pink. Although, I would prefer if she liked regular pink...

When they aged up, I realised something. The house was too small. The house was hard to expand aswell. I called my agent and was able to move out that day. We moved closer to the town an closer to Seb. We moved to this wonderful modern house.

Author’s Note: I can’t believe it’s been so long since I had last updated! I’m sorry about the long wait but from now on updates should come more often.

This story can be moved to the graveyard unless anyone has any ideas to get files that have magically disappeared from your computer.

Yesterday was the last time I played Sims and when I went to play today, everything was gone. Everything I’ve uploaded, gone. Everything I’ve downloaded, gone. All my games, gone. I had wanted to do a clean out but this wasn’t what I wanted. So know this story is another one of my fails. And believe me I loved this story. I am already planning something new, but I will only have one story going. Great way to end my holidays...
