Elder Sim anyway to keep on the legacy?
« on: May 10, 2012, 09:35:13 AM »
Hello All,

When I started my first XBOX 360 Sims game for whatever reason the sim aging was on super high speed. I had no idea.
I had intentions of Esme marrying a strapping man and having a family. Esme had one birthday and unfortunately went from Young Adult to Elder. I was so confused. I read up and noticed the aging was on super fast. Also I did not know you cannot add to household later oops!

I probably should have restarted the game then but did not. She is now super succesful and very skilled. She even has a fair amount of simoleans
I have her engaged and about to be married when I heard she won't be able to have kids as an elder? is that right?

So all this being said is there anyway to add a 2nd gen to this amazing Sim so I can keep her wealth etc? I want her to have some other adults working. Also i have aging turned off I want her to master it all (much like the perfectionist I am).

I think the limitation on xbox that I am seeing is in one game you can only play one household. Is that why I am struggling?

Thanks for any help :)

If your sim is a female elder she will not be able to have any children. However, if your sim is a male, he can have children until he dies. But since your sim is a female...she cannot have any kids...sorry. But you could still adopt.

On Xbox you can only play one household per save. What I mean by that is, let's say that I made a save called Awesomeness and made Mr. and Mrs. Awesomeness. I can only play those two characters (and more if you have kids, roomates, etc.) on that save. Does that make sense?

I hope that helped. I am not very good at expressing my thoughts haha. And did you just get The Sims 3 for Xbox or did you have it for PC and moved to Xbox?

Hi I had sims for other platforms (not the pc since I was a kid however!) I did not realize I could adopt that is great news. I may check into that. I think I got what you were saying on the other points. I just figured if my elder passes on (when I do turn on aging at some point) I will not be able to pass on all her money unless I get a household of younger folks going in there.

thanks ESME8888
