Age cheats update
« on: March 23, 2012, 03:39:46 AM »
I was reading about the testingcheatsenabled true cheat "age transition" (Help & Cheats > Cheats > "Testing Cheats" section) and noticed in the paragraph that it states the only way to age *down* is through the reward "young again" or by using ambrosia. Well, I discovered a third way! With testingcheatsenabled true, when you shift click on a sim and choose "Edit in Create-A-Sim" you can actually choose their age group there! I did it with a wild horse I adopted and wanted to breed, but she was an elder. Not anymore! ;)

(I have the Sims 3 and Sims 3 Pets on PC, for reference.)

:) I often do this just for the fun of playing with a teenaged orphan sim.  Make an adult in the usual way.  Place in a home alone and immediately age them down in CAS.  You now have a teenager living alone.  They can travel too if you have WA so it is possible without any further cheating to have a well skilled, well-off sim before their young adult birthday.   The only downside is the curfew when at home, school and the inability to own overseas realestate, but with lots of gem collecting or by copious writing to finance holidays they can spend lots of time in foreign parts.  I max them in France as the lodgings are more comfortable and teenage lasts for ages with eighteen day holidays.
