A nice little tip for fireplaces

A while back, I found out that fireplaces actually consist of four parts.
There is the Fireplace part, where your Sims light fires
The Mantle part, which is the part behind the fireplace that is shaped bigger than the fireplace then thins out
The chimney part, which leads from the mantle part to the exhaust part at the top
The exhaust part, which is where the smoke comes out.
(these are my own names for them.)

Now, if you use Moveobjects on, you can separate each part (and even sell them!), so that you can have a fireplace that takes up little room!
Also, if a sim lights a fire in the fireplace before you do this, and remove every part but the exhaust, you can have a free "fog" effect. This is especially useful for those without Ambitions, and therefore the fog emitter.

This is useful. I had discovered that the ugly brick part can be removed, which is great (it's ugly), but I didn't know there were 4 parts. Good tips, thanks

yea, I always liked that trick. Lets you have a fire place without the chimney sticking out from the house.
I done a post about it a little over a year ago with a couple pictures of one them took apart if anyone wants a better idea of what he's doing go here

Anyone know if you can mix and match different parts of fireplaces from different designs? I assume with the moveobjects cheat you would be able to, but I haven't tried. In the past I've been annoyed that I like one thing from one design and a different thing from another.
