I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't figure out the right search criteria to find it.  :-X

I have a Sim I've been playing for months. He's pretty advanced in most skills and has a crapload of stuff in his home. He's advanced all the way in his career, completed his lifetime wish, and has a ton of relationships, etc. all in Bridgeport. Basically, I wanted to establish his life solidly there before I started Wold Adventures with him, because I didn't want to get caught up with that while his "real life" failed to advance. So he did a few adventures in China and got up to Visa 3, and to Visa 2 in France, but then on his second trip to China I got the invisible Sim problem that a lot of people seem to have. You know, when you show up there but your Sim doesn't?

So I tried the moving household to another neighborhood thing to see if that fixed it and it did. He can travel again. But I can't figure out if his house can be copied in it's entirety and moved? Like, would I just have to move all of his possessions into the family inventory? And can I make a copy of the house he lives in now (I evicted the Big Bling family and moved into their house because it was the only one that was big enough to fit all my Sim's stuff!  ::))? But I don't want to lose all of that work just so he can keep travelling.

So, basically, is it doable to make a copy of the Big Bling house in Bridgeport and move it all to Twinbrook along with all of my Sim's belongings?

Yeah you just have to save the house to the library which I am drawing a blank on how to exactly step by step do that right now.

I know it's through Edit Town - the exact mechanics of how to do it is escaping me at the moment, but I believe if you click on the house you should be able to save your sim to the library with or without your house. Your sim (with your house if you kept the house) should show up on the bottom of the screen along with the premades as well as anyone else you've started a new game with. Once that's done you can go back to the main menu, start a new game (or an existing game if you prefer and go directly to Edit Town), and plop your house down on a residential lot. Depending on the size of your house you might have to tweak the lot size using World Editor or you could just add a lot somewhere using the same (I find it hard to add new lots Twinbrook though).

Thanks for both of your replies, SportsFan and smartburn.

I made a copy of my Sim and moved him from Bridgeport to Twinbrook, but I couldn't figure out how to move his actual physical house. So I'll look and see if his house is in the premade library. If not, I'll mess around with it some more and see if I can figure it out. I knew there had to be a way, but I wanted to ask before I started messing around with it all too much and screwed something up. ;D

In Edit town, you have the option to upload to the library just the household or the household with the house.

I just moved Matthew Hamming from Bridgeport into Starlight Shores.  I had to put the movie lot into Starlight Shores first so he wouldn't lose his career.   I've been playing him all night in Starlight Shores.  The only thing you will lose is all his friends and relationships.  I took a girlfriend with him.  LOL I love that house he lives in so I wanted it too so moved it too.

I downloaded new world that has no people yet, so I took the ones I liked from Bridgeport and Starlight Shores. Some with their houses, others by themselves. I'll let the game spawn new people and tweek them as they come into town.

My Matthew Hamming and his GF now live in Starlight Shores with their new daughter.  Matt realized Bridgeport wasn't a good place to raise his family  :D
