Mirrors make my computer crash?

When I first installed the game I noticed if I tried to place one particular mirror (a really massive one) the game would crash and I'd get a blank screen and have to reboot the computer. Then If I placed a lot of smaller mirrors the same happened. Now if I try to place ANY mirrors it crashes.

Anyone else have this? Did you find a way around it?

I think it might be to do with memory? My laptop meets the system requirements I think. It's windows 7, 64 bit.

It could be that your graphics card can't handle it. Somewhere in the options menu (think it it graphics settings) there is an option to turn reflections off. Turn them off and see how that works. You may have to experiment with a few settings to get the right combination for the game to continue running.

Reflections have been causing computer crashes since the game came out.  As you add more EPs and SPs to the game, the harder it causes the process to work and the more likely it is to cause you to crash.  I almost always have mine off just to take that off the list of possibilities.

Thanks! I turned off the reflections (didn't even know that was a possibility!) and it works fine now. 

I don't have any expansion or stuff packs yet. *worried*

Like I said, it's been happening since the game came out.   Some people just don't experience it right off but I did.  It seems to be random.  Just make sure your computer meets specs to run the game and you'll be fine.  Glad you got it fixed!
