Congrats Lily! I would like some feedback! :)

Completely agreeing with Alex on your entry. It's the same style you often do and it wasn't what I have in mind for Abstract. It was still great stuff just not so fitting with the brief I think.  :)

EDIT: Just realised that winners quote has silly picture dimensions in it.

Thanks guys! It was a super fun contest. I'm open for feedback.

@ Zapkid - Lovely house with a spacious floor pan. I have to echo what's been said already - I would have loved to see you go crazy with some new patterns and colours.

@ Gogo - Love the use of the different textures: tile, brick, circles. I also love the colours! I thought the living/TV area was unique in it's placement and layout but, at the same time, this made it feel cramped and isolated. I would have liked to see a more open layout. Nice use of the deck, moving the dining area outside.

Gogo, I think the one thing I would have liked to see in yours was something with the walls. I don't know but they felt a little bare compared to the rest of the interior? Maybe just that they were white?

Lily, I loved your entry. It really had Abstract down for me! Loved the idea and how you pulled it off!

Thanks guys. I agree it was plain... I'm starting to branch out a little more in my colors (My recent beach home with a name I can't remember is an example: It was for Alex) but I'm still a little too plain. Still gotta work on it.

@Gogo: A little too wild for me... liked the colors though.

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

Lilygirl - I did really enjoy your showing.  Congratulations on the win!

I am open to suggestions on my build.  I kind of pretended the mad hatter moved into a llama and this is what I thought his house would look like.  ;D

Congratulations, Lilygirl! I'm an anatomy student, so I loved your idea  :). Your colours were gorgeous too; I really liked the contrast between the walls, bedspread and stairwell.

Zapkid: I'm in the same boat as the others. I love your style, but it didn't really gel with this competition.

Gogo: I really liked your layout. Nice big kitchen, nice cozy bedroom, pretty intuitive setup all 'round  :). I agree though that the living area was a bit cramped. I would have removed that wall, or done away with the living area and put a dining table in that little alcove instead, but that part's personal taste.

Ricalynn: Colours;D  The colours you've chosen are exactly right. I just adore what you've done with the floor and walls. I also love the staircase and that awesome dancing bear. Great job!

I'm open to comments and feedback as usual. It's a little embarrassing not to win this one, lol.  :P

Congratulations Lilygirl! I really loved the colors and the idea behind your entry. Very clever.

Zapkid - I loved the interior and colors, though I agree with the others that it was somewhat plain for this contest.

Gogo - I liked the different uses of patterns and the colors, though I thought the patterns for the living room and kitchen were a little to much right next to each other.  I really liked the layout, as well.

Ricalynn - The colors were great. I especially loved the bathroom.  The black and white floor in the kitchen was a little stark in comparison to the rest of the interior, but other than that, I really liked it.

Ausette - I really loved your interior; the colors, patterns, and layout were all great.  It was very cozy and I thought the gnomes were a really awesome, whimsical touch.

I would appreciate any feedback/suggestions.

Congratulations lillygirl. I loved the idea behind your design.  The colour's you used clashed wonderfully together and I assumed that was the plan and you made good use of the space provided.

Zapkid I really liked this but as the others say it would have been nice to see some pattern and colour in there.

Gogo:While I liked the layout and the individual patterns on the floors and the furniture. I felt that the walls were a little too plain and stark.

Ricalynn I adored this. You managed to mix together patterns, colours and textures that I would never in a million years have thought would go together. Some of the colours looked like they would be too dark for the space but you made it work.

Ausette:I really liked this it looked so warm and inviting, but,it felt like all of your other builds and I would have liked for you to go with a more vibrant palette because you almost always use a mixture of soft colours and fabrics.

Lynley I felt your design had a classic sophistication to it. For me it came across as a place that a upwardly mobile young couple would live.

Ratchie:Yes commenting on my own build. I really struggled with this one I even googled abstract which was no help what so ever. I had the idea to go for bright and vibrant colours but I just couldn't get them to work properly. So I went with black and white and tried to use a mixture of different patterns to make it look different. In the end I liked it but I don't feel like I matched up to the brief given.

I am open to comments from others.

Rachel
