Harvester

I didn't know where to put it, so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place.

Anyways, I see and hear a lot about the harvester and how it can be a good help in the garden. My question is: How do you get the harvester? Do you buy it somewhere, earn it or make it?

It's one of the big inventions that your sim makes with the inventing table, it came with Ambitions.

You can sometimes find it in the Consignment Store as well.

I have looked there a couple of times, but never found it. Is it just a lucky shot to find it there or are there things to do to get it there?

It's just lucky, but if your sim has tonnes of money, you can try buying everything in the shop, and the stock will be replenished, so you'll get another shot at it. Sometimes I just keep buying everything until I get what I want.

Ironic how the Harvester is like the only thing ever for sale in my stores and yet you have never seen it, Lol.
It is really helpful for big gardens and sims with not so much time. Stand the sim in the middle - click harvest and it sucks up all the harvestables. Might make your sim dizzy sometimes but I recommend aiming to get it.

If you don't mind being a bit sneaky, try adding a couple of extra tills to your existing consignment store or a couple of custom consignment stores.  Three tills means three times the chance of finding the item you want.  Yes, each consignment clark will have a slightly different list.

If you don't mind cheating, you will find it in buydebug.

Actually, I've been playing this game for ages and I've never bothered with this invention.  I always sell it after my sim has made it, but then I keep my gardening to a ninimum anyway.   Just enough to keep my sim in life fruit and flame fruit.  I use reading and harvesting wild plants to increase my skill to the point of being able to plant rare and special seeds and by then I nearly always have an example of these two fruits which I can plant alonside a couple of special seeds, no more than 2 or three at a time in order to get a couple o death flowers.

Thanks for all the information! I'll see if I can get it. I wanted a inventor for my dynasty anyways. Knowing this I'm going to get one sooner though, if I ever will do a dynasty after my current one.
