Older towns.

I have sims 3 with all of the expansions, and I started my sims 3 career with all of the expansions, so Ive really only played twinbrook and starlight shores. I am wondering if in the older towns will the features of newer expansions be present?

When you start a new game in Sunset Valley (the original town), the game places a number of community lots from various expansion packs. You will have vampires and animals and all features from any expansion pack that is installed.

Ah, that is spiffy. Now I think I want to start a new family in an older town. Or move. The reason is I am tired of twinbrook, and starlight shores has so many night spots that nothing ever gets crowded [though I have nraas story progression..so everyone also has jobs]... a smaller town with one night club would get packed easy I would think. I usually design a night club myself and place it in the town.

With lots, though, it's best to go ahead and just create one of the older towns and see what gets added.  The new Showtime lots get added, as do the Ambitions lots.  My game throws in an equestrian center if there's space, but not dog or cat parks or any of the Night Life lots like the night clubs you mentioned, so you'd have to add those.  That sounds like it would be to your liking, I just wanted to add that not every kind of lot automatically gets added to every town.

I think no one in sunset valley is a celebrity,I've been looking around a lot and haven't found any...haven't seen any vampires I don't think, but that's not as easy to tell.

Edit: Hmm, I've found some, I also noticed there were no pets around, but some sims [not my own] just adopted a dog. I guess things take time to kick in, but I am not sure if this is how it is in vanilla sims3 or because of nraas story progression. Either way things seem like they will work.

No one starts out in Sunset Valley as a celebrity; but, eventually some people will gain stars as they move up the career ladder. Vampires will eventually spawn in the game. I didn't like Sunset Valley, because even when I put in night clubs, no one went dancing, or if they did, they left very early.
