The Babble Board is made to allow discussion of anything that doesn't relate to Sims 3. A portion of the topics that have come up are not actual topics but games and surveys that go on and on. If we end up with dozens of topics with no purpose it is actually blocking discussion. Use the board for things you want to talk about, but do not put up posts that do not actually relate to anything. Not only does it drown out interesting stuff from recent posts, it also consumes a lot of bandwidth and space in our database. We didn't realize just how overwhelming they can be. This is directed at no one in particular so no apology necessary, in fact I apologize for not preventing it in the first place so no one wasted time. Remember there is a babble thread on that board for random little things you might want to share.
There was always a rule about the old thread that it wasn't for conversations back and forth between a few members. There are other means of communication. This site is a large library of information about The Sims 3. It can include information about other things, too, with this board.
One of the reasons this site was founded was because of all the useless topics on The Sims 3 official site that go unchecked. People know when they come here that most topics actually have a reason for existing. Use that as a guideline when you decide whether your next post actually deserves a permanent place in the 'library'.
