Moving and Money Tree Seeds

My sims stored some Money Tree Seeds in the treasure box for planting in my new house. Once my sims moved to another house. All these seeds disappeared from my treasure box.
Luckily, I saved my game before attempt to move. Next time, I made my sims to carry the Money Tree Seeds before moving. My game hanged in the processing screen. I have re-started my computer. However, it still doesn't work. 
Have anyones experienced the same problem before?

No, on the contrary; I can confirm that I have been able to move with money seeds intact. But I haven't tested it with the latest patches, maybe a bug came with them?

Sounds weird, but when I had such an occasion, defragmenting the hard drive has helped me out. At least I think that was it. Because after that, the game just did what it has to do.
So maybe you could defrag your hard drive. But don't confuse this with formatting if you don't know what it is! :O

It sounds like a bug or glitch, skybaker.  I've never had any problems carrying Money Tree seeds in my Sims inventories during a move.  What exactly happened when you tried it again after restarting your computer?

Yes, I have had that happen once. I had a over 200 perfect life fruits, omni plant seeds, and money tree seeds in a treasure chest. Then I moved and lost them all. Back then, I didn't know just reload the game from the last save point, I just saved and quit, I was very upset! Now before I move, I go through every treasure chest I have and put what I don't want to lose in my sims inventory, move, then put it back in the chests. Lesson learned for me, NEVER move without taking what you want to keep out of the chests!
