Title: Twinbrook Guide
Post by: MoonsAreBlue on September 23, 2011, 01:54:06 PM
Hi everybody!

I'm going to start working on a guide for Twinbrook, and I would love the support of anyone who wants to help. I'm basing it off of the Sunset Valley guide, so here are the things I will be needing. If anyone wants to volunteer for a section, just let me know! I would prefer only one person work on a section at a time. For the collecting, I will allow two people per item type (seeds, gems, bugs, and fishing) so that way they can compare notes before submitting them to me. If only one person signs up, that's fine too. I also would like a few people to sign up as extras in case someone needs to drop out or if I come up with new sections for the guide. If I come up with an extra section and you are the first extra, this does not mean you have to do it. I will PM the first extra and ask if they want to, if not I will ask the second extra and so on. I will give about two weeks for people to sign up for sections. Extras can sign up any time they like. There is no need to message me unless you want to. You can volunteer right here.

Town Map and Locations: Myself
Fishing Spots: kiko94
Beautiful Vista Lots: Complete. Apparently there's only one lot!
Collecting
Extras:

If you have any ideas on extra sections for this guide, go ahead and post them. If you suggest something before the two weeks are up and it's good, I will go ahead and add it to the list and anyone is free to sign up for it for the rest of the two weeks. However, if you suggest it, you will have the first choice on if you want to do that section.

Thank you in advance!

As an extra section, I'd suggest how to "upgrade" Twinbrook for Night Life. Twinbrook suffers from no available 64x64 lots (?) for the film studio lot that comes in the community bin.

However, I found a 40x40 smaller lot on (removed - mod site) that might fit somewhere:

Also, I've upgraded the Red Rendevous hangout to a club:

That's about all I remember from Twinbrook!

@ced1106

I'm not sure if that would be a good section to do, because this is a guide Twinbrook as it exists. You can manually add 64x64 lots through Edit Town if you really want that big film studio, though. While I do think a smaller film studio is definitely a good idea (64x64 is just way too big), I'm not sure about doing a section on how to upgrade Twinbrook to include Late Night. If this guide gets turned into an article, then Carl is willing to put it on the guide. However, I don't think he will be including links to players' upgraded lots in the completed guide.

Beautiful Vista Lots:

One. I can't remember the name, but it's something like Aerie Supply, in the swampy area, and the moodlet value is +50.
I'm not joking. It honestly is +50.

I can confirm what Seabody said. It's Aerie Supply, on 568 Bayou Gulch Dr. It gives a +50 moodlet, and it costs $19,294.

Ok, thanks for that Seabody and Marian. I knew there was a +50 somewhere, but I couldn't remember where.

I'm currently on holidays so I have a lot of time at home. I'd love to volunteer to find all the Beautiful Vista Lots.

Oh, then I'll volunteer for the Seeds or Bugs/Butterflies.

Really, there's only that one lot? I didn't know that. Well I guess that section is complete then, haha. I'll double check all the lots when I get around to it, just to make extra sure.

Oh, then I'll volunteer for the Seeds or Bugs/Butterflies.

Take your pick, Gogo. You've got first dibs.

If anyone is in touch with chronic, they could ask him if he has the fishing notes that I sent him. I don't have mine anymore but I had what fish were in about 1/4 of the fishing spots.

I'll take Seeds.

Thank you very much for volunteering! I'll PM you with details. Your name has been added to the original post under Seeds.

I have absolutely no idea how to get in touch with Chronic, and I don't know if he would want to give up the information. If anyone does talk to him and he is willing to give you the information, I would be glad to receive it.

He does have a blog and a facebook page for that blog. Someone could ask him there. I also think a few members have him as a friend on facebook.

That's the only lot I've seen, and I've seen several people confirm this fact. But don't ask me to dig it up - truth be told, I can't remember which thread it was!

I'm absolutely postive that that is the only lot that gives the beautiful vista moodlet. I believe that I have seen it in multiple different places on the forum.

Then I will take both your words for it and save myself the trouble of checking. I'll just close that part of the guide then.

I just did part of the Simbot opportunity in Twinbrook, and here's what I got for the Palladium spawning points. For the orientations, I'm assuming the Curious house is in the far North and the Bayless house in the far South.

1 - In the canyon to the south-west of the Curious house (just south of the derailed train cart)
2 - Between the tracks next to the Twinbrook Industrial Train Centre
3 - In the swamp, directly between the Aerie Supply house and the break in the decorative train bridge
4 - Under the cliff directly opposite the Pigdins' house

Do you think I missed any?

EDIT: There's also one between the Curious house and spawn point 1, near the bend in the road.

@Ausette

Thank you very much! This is very valuable information, and I will definitely use it.

By the way, chronic doesnt have my info anywhere other than in his PMs.

That's okay, we can just work on it from scratch.

Ok, so it looks like no one else is volunteering. I'm going to go ahead and start working on the remaining sections. If anyone still wishes to volunteer, let me know. But if I have already started on the section, then you probably won't be able to do it.

Thank you again for volunteering kiko and Gogo.

Take your time! I expected this to come to a screeching halt for some now that Pets is out (guilty as charged).

Really? Great! I'll PM you with more specific details. Thank you for volunteering! I'll add your name to the list.
