Ok so my teen got grounded twice in a row. So now she is not grounded anymore and she has aged up and she is still sneaking around like she is grounded. I have saved and then went out out into the main menu and she is still doing the same thing. I closed the game out but can not get back in.
-
I restarted and got back in the game and she is still sneaking around.
-
Same thing happened to one of mine. Forever. She never stopped sneaking after that. I never did figure out how to stop her.
-
Does this mean she's doing the sneaky walk all the time? Like how burglars do? I haven't played a teenager in Generations yet.
-
Yes, it has become her default walking style now. In fact the first time I saw her do it I was trying to figure out if she might be a burglar's daughter (she was adopted) but then I realized she had the grounded moodlet.
-
We used to have the Run Around bug where every Sim had running as the default walking mode. It was believed to be caused by playing tag. Eventually, it stopped happening. This sounds like something similar. I'm going to modify the subject so more people can share about sneaky walking.
-
Same thing happened to one of my daughters - even after aging up to an adult and moving out of the house, she sneaks everywhere.
-
Have you tried resetsim? I didn't see you mention that...
-
I tried resetsim and it didn't fix her.
-
Did you try selecting the parent and clicking on the child, and selecting the option "Let off the Hook?"
I had a glitch like that and my teen walked normal again.
-
Am pretty sure EA has noticed this and is in the way of making an update to fix it. But it could take long, just like the ones from LN. Hope and wait. ;)

It was suggested on the sims3 site, if you evict the sim and move to clipboard and then just moved them back into the same house, that might work. I guess it has worked for some. I guess some of these things are fixed for the time being and then it goes back again. Let me know if it works. :)

Once I read your quote, I realized at once what needed to be done to bypass this bug. Put on testingcheatsenabled true cheat. Press and hold down ctrl key and left click on the the grounded moodlet icon. Once the icon is gone she should resume walking normally.

Both of my teens got grounded but they are not sneaky-walking. One was rebellious and her grandmother (automatically) Let Her Off The Hook.
The other not rebellious, snuk out to see her BF and came back home. She didn't snkeay-walk back, only in the home lot.

This problem has not been fixed, I'm experiencing it for the first time today. The teen got let of the hook but is now sneak-walking everywhere she goes.

It is best if your sim get grounded, to use the option let off hook. :)If it is not a dynasty you can try and put the teen and a adult in edit town on the clipboard and put them right back in the household.
-
Ok so I just wanted to let you know that this happened again today with my sim. Even after being let of the hook, she continues doing the sneaky walk. Resetsim doesn't help. I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet, I'm so disapointed!

I had a teen in sneaking mode and she continued that behavior after she at become a young adult. I tried the remove from household in Edit Town and then placed her right back home. It fixed the problem. Thanks. I lived with the problem in another problem all my Sims life. It looks strange for and old woman to sneak.
-
This happened to me - there are several workarounds. The easiest and quickest is to send the teen to boarding school, or move them in and out of the house - or you can use a mod (if you are aready using mods), but there's no point in downloading a mod just to fix them!
The thread is here, and it has more detailed info: http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php/topic,11246.msg223489.html

Move the sneaking sims out of the house to the clipboard and then re out them back in the house and it fixes the problem. :)

Welcome to the forum, Anne.walsh1. The solution of moving the Sim out of the household to the clipboard and then moving them back has already been posted a few posts above yours. It's fine to post in an older thread, but before reviving a thread that has been inactive for over a year, please be sure you have something new to add to the discussion. :)

I'm so excited to tell you guys I found a way to stop your teen sims from sneaky walking, But you must have the expansion pack World Adentures because you will need to make your sim travel to either France,China,or eygpt. When your sim gets back it won't glitch back. My teen sim stopped I was so happy

My sim had that sneaky walking everywhere he goes, at first I thought it was because of his 'hunted moodlet; by vampires but it turns out he was grounded before and he is already having mid-life crisis right now but he still sneaky walks. This is permanent right?
